A polystyrene foam tray is 95% water that especially determines its properties:- thermal – it has very low heat conduction, consequently, has heat insulation properties so, keeps the products hot or cooled for much longer.
- mechanical – it has excellent tensile, bending and compressive strength.
- chemical – polystyrene foam is resistant to water, fats, acids (excluding strong oxidants, such as nitric acid), alkali and alcoholic solutions.
