Masterfilm stretch film for manual packing
Stretch film (derived from the English word “stretch”, which means elongation, extending) is a film made of low density polyethylene (LLDPE) able to stretch reversibly with the elongation of up to 300% and more. Being stretched, the film not only keeps its durability but also tighten packaged goods, facilitating packaging firmness and integrity, which considerably simplifies working with the end products in warehouses and protects the goods while transportation.
These films are used for:
- Packing of boxes, items, multi-unit packages, packs, tare etc., food stuff and nonfoods;
- wrapping of boxes and any products for protection against damaging, splitting off, abrasion and scratch formation on the goods’ surfaces (glass, large tare, canisters, barrels, printed items etc.)
- Protection of boxes and production against dirt, dust and moisture (such as furniture, carpets, outsized commodities etc.)
- Pallets integrity preservation (to avoid their break down while storage, loading and moving). Palletising with stretch film enables to make loading /unloading several times faster and store the products arranged in tiers (pallet on a pallet) with the low probability of the structure falling apart.
There are two types of stretch film depending on its purpose:
- Stretch film for manual packing;
- Stretch film for machine packing
Stretch film for manual packing is typically a roll with the width of 450 or 500 mm and length up to 300 m. The tape is usually 15, 17 or 20 µm thick. We recommend you to use stretch film dispensers for working with such stretch films.
Special features
- Masterfilm stretch film is 5-layer film made of linear low density polyethylene in accordance with the “CAST” technology. Five Masterfilm stretch film layers make it possible to improve its consumer properties and, what is the most important, cost-effectiveness. Masterfilm 5-layer stretch film is a next generation film following the 3-layer film structure.
- Due to the 5-layer structure, Masterfilm stretch films are more durable than conventional 3-layer films since the production technology strengthens molecular bonds between the layers (molecular bonds between the layers are firmer, than those inside the level).
- The two additional layers of the Masterfilm 5-layer film make it possible to improve film additive composition. This enables to improve pre-stretch, film elastic restitution and elasticity.
- Due to the Masterfilm 5-layer structure, you can save up to 20% just on the amount of the used film
- Only premium raw materials produced by Russian and European (mainly Italian) manufacturers are used for Masterfilm stretch films production. Masterfilm raw materials are never bought in accordance with “the chipset” principal.
- Masterfilm stretch film is supplied in the original white box only
