Screw caps with jaws (twist-off type lids) for canning are designed for sealing of glass jars having screw tops with preserved food in accordance with thermovacuum method.
These lids are used while jar closure in the following cases:

Twist-off lid is a stamped metal cap made of tinplate with jaws for screwing. Tinplate is varnished with special edible varnishes and enamels and features gaskets on the internal surface, which are made of plastisol (PVC-based material). Information about the product, trade mark etc. can be specified on the external lid surface.
The most widely used lids are lids for sterilization (temperature range is up to 120°С). In addition, lids for pasteurization can also be supplied (with less thermostability up to 100°С). Difference between these two lid types is in plastisol composition (it has softer consistence for pasteurization lids).
Lids with the diameter of 82 mm are most frequently used while industrial production and home canning (lids with the diameters of 43, 58, 66 and 110 mm can also be supplied).
