PVC stretch-film is a variation of polyvinylchloride film which is sometimes called “stretching film", “self-adhesive film” or “breathable film” and which actually has all those properties.

The color depends on the pigment added while production. The most widely used color is “Champagne”.

Food stretch films are used for product immediate packaging. They are employed both in trade and production while packing of half-finished products, poultry, ready-to-serve food, bread, vegetables, fruits, mushrooms, berries, pastry, cereals etc. Bakery products are in the lead of food PVC stretch-film application. Selective material permeability makes it possible for bread to “breath” and keep quite well and also speed up the technological process due to the possibility of hot bread packing.

PVC stretch film has improved fat resistance, which makes it irreplaceable while packing of products with high fat content.

PVC films are widely used in production for wrapping of trays with products. These films have numerous advantages in comparison with the polyethylene ones. They are more transparent, and glittering; they excel polyethylene films in durability and extensibility; these films are selectively permeable and resistant to weeping; they correspond to higher hygiene and sanitary standards and can be used while product heating in the microwave oven. PVC films are also called “breathable”- these films selectively let moisture and carbon-dioxide gas outside and the oxygen - inside. This feature enables to considerably prolong food products’ shelf life, their surfaces do not become dry and their taste is preserved for a much longer period.
